Welcome to… Mermaids of the World |
About This Page What is it about mermaids that people find so fascinating? Is it because of their unusual mystique, so surrounded in mythology and legends that it defies any great understanding of such creatures? Or is it because of the stories from sailors lost at sea that have been handed down through the ages that tell of mermaids who led their ships from imminent peril or caused them to be smashed upon some leeward shore? These are questions that this page will attempt to resolve as it delves into the mysteries that surround these fantastical sirens of the sea. You, the reader, are invited to participate in this effort by sending me your comments, photos or suggestions at my Facebook page. This page is an ongoing experience to learn more about these mysterious creatures and their great following of fans who are devoted to their mystique and study.

book about mermaids, the news piqued my interest and I thought I’d share some of my own aquatic research. |
